Our Occupational Health and Safety Policy

Security in Metalif is everyone’s responsibility. Creating a safe, clean and tidy work environment is both our common responsibility and a function of every Metalif employee, business partner and affiliate. Our Safety Culture is beyond a principle, a core business guideline and a daily practice. This also applies to our suppliers, contractors and customers. We consistently aim for the highest standards of safety excellence through our actions.

What we are doing

  1. We follow the rules of safety and apply them using our individual judgment.
  2. We carry out our work in the safest and most attentive way.
  3. If conditions are unsafe, we identify dangers and stop working
  4. We report all security opportunities and recommend improvements
  5. We take care of each other’s and our customers’ safety
  6. We comply with the relevant legal and other obligations we are liable for regarding OHS.
  7. With our continuous improvement principle and award suggestion system, we ensure continuous improvement in all kinds of issues that pose a risk to Occupational Health and Safety
  8. We evaluate new products, machines, facilities and processes in terms of Occupational Health and Safety while in the project design phase.
  9. We bring and develop the Occupational Health and Safety culture, which is based on safe behavior, through planned trainings for all our personnel.

What we are not doing

  1. We do not compromise on security measures
  2. Regardless of the circumstances, we do not do any work unless we are fully authorized
  3. We do not disable security checks, checks or balances
  4. We do not skip reporting accidents or incidents close to the accident
  5. We don’t skip learning the lessons learned from accident investigations
  6. If we observe situations where the rules are not followed, we are not indifferent.
  7. We do not tolerate bullying.
  8. A work environment free from bullying, victimization and discrimination is not only a basic necessity but also a shared responsibility. We perform best when we feel safe and protected. Free from fear, bullying, sexual abuse or other inappropriate behavior; We support an inclusive and welcoming workplace. We ensure that our policies are inclusive and protect our reporting systems from prejudice and fear. In the event of any violation, we react promptly without any reservation or delay.
